How to connect Bluetooth speakers to your mobile

It is possible to connect your mobile device to your wireless speaker in a couple of ways, but connecting your speaker to your mobile device can be a bit tricky if you are looking for a way to take your speaker on vacation or simply fill a room in your house with sound. Here’s a quick guide to help you avoid having to use your smartphone’s speakers anymore by taking a look at the steps you need to take to make sure you don’t need to rely on them anymore:

  1. Click on the settings button

  2. If Bluetooth is enabled, tap on it

  3. Make sure the Bluetooth is turned on

  4. You will see a list of devices that are available for you to choose from.

  5. The button on your speaker that makes it discoverable is often a button with a Bluetooth symbol on it, so if your speaker is not listed, press the button on your speaker that makes it discoverable.

  6. Then select your speaker with your mobile (it might look like a random product number, but the speaker’s brand name should be displayed on the speaker’s screen) and that’s it, you’re connected to the speaker!

The Bluetooth pairing process for your speaker – or the process of connecting two Bluetooth devices – takes only a few moments and you won’t have to repeat the process again after you’ve paired it. It is only a matter of turning on the Bluetooth on your mobile device as well as the speaker on your speaker.

You can typically connect a number of devices, including laptops and tablets, to most wireless speakers, so if you would like to connect them to them as well, you simply need to follow the steps above.

I would like to draw your attention to the fact that some speakers, especially the newer ones, now have a NFC feature that makes pairing the speaker even easier. You can connect using this method by simply turning on NFC on your smartphone and tapping the touch mark on your speaker to make the connection.
